1st Centennial Bank of California shuts down

Regulators have shut down the 1st Centennial Bank in California, the third federally insured bank to fall down this year.

The FDIC will insure regular deposits of up to $250,000, which will be assumed by the First California Bank. The branches of 1st Centennial will open as offices of First California. Depositors will still have full access to their accounts.
