Name of your website?Trusted Retirement Planning Tips
Your name?
Windsor Augustin
Your Location (city, etc)
Naples
Please give us a short summary of your website?
Little known tips and strategies that allow small business owners and entrepreneurs to retire earlier with plenty of tax free retirement income and zero mortgage debt in retirement.
What inspired you to launch your own website?
It started out when my parents were reaching retirement age and very little practical information was to be found. Sure there were plenty of statistics and government related information. But very little in the way of preparing to live financially independent and debt-free in retirement
When did you launch your first website, and what was it?
August 2007 and it was www.trusted-retirement-planning-tips.com
How did you decide on a name for your website?
I guessed what the average person would be looking for as they approached retirement and came up with a name that would be easily remembered
What makes it different from other, similar offerings?
It contains very practical information not easily found in one place when it comes to the everyday challenges faced by the soon-to-be-retired as well as those who are in retirement. There is an urgent need to teach our ageing population how to take the fear out of approaching and enjoying retirement with solid financial tips (that may go against the mainstream).
What is your eventual goal? (To sell it, keep it for income, secure a book or other mainstream media deal?)
My goal is for it to become the best resource for retirement planning for many years to come. This will become the authority site as it evolves over time.
How does your investment of time and money balance against your success?
With very few subscribers (less than 5,000) it would seem that I am spending more time and having less success. But when I think about it, the success is measured by the changes that the information can bring in one person's life. So I appreciate my current visitors and as long as one person can benefit from the information on a monthly or even annual basis, I consider it a success.
If you had an unlimited development budget for development, how would you change your site?
I would spend more time getting acquainted with all the wonderful cutting edge technology that gets the word out about the site (such as blogs and run advertisement).
If your site got really big, really quickly, would you be able to keep up with the demand?
Yes. In fact the service that hosts our site is not nearly at one tenth its capacity.
What unexpected costs and headaches have you had to deal with?
No significant costs. But the headaches tend to center around staying current with the market and understanding the needs of my visitors.
What has been your biggest challenge?
Technology and the time to complete the necessary research that contributes to having a valuable site.
What method has been most successful for promoting your website?
So far, it has been word of mouth. The online community is wonderful.
How has running your website differed from your expectations?
I don't believe I had any expectations going in. I simply wanted to post great information for anyone to take advantage of very easily.
How long have you run the site already, and how long will you continue to keep it up if you don't enjoy big gains in traffic, income or popularity?
I have had it a little over 6 months and I plan on keeping it up a very long time (especially if I'm enjoying big gains in traffic, income and popularity).
