My Mobile Notary Interview

By Interviewer at 09/23/07 13:40

Name of your website?

My Mobile Notary

Your name?

Karen

Your Location (city, etc)

Thousand Oaks

Please give us a short summary of your website?

Our website describes our mobile notary public and apostille services and rates. We also provide information about a variety of terms used in the notary and mortgage and loan industry, as well as explanation about Apostilles. In addition, we provide links to many of our affiliates and directories that we use. Our last page highlights a great tickets service we found, that provides half priced tickets for many of the USA metropolitan cities. We have used this ticket service and found them to be the best. We like to pass that information on to our clients and visitors.

What inspired you to launch your own website?

We are wishing to spread the word about our services to our community.

When did you launch your first website, and what was it?

MyMobileNotary.us was first launched in February of 2005. We recently redesigned the website for ease of navigation and visual appeal.

How did you decide on a name for your website?

My Mobile Notary just appeared to be an easy name to remember, kind of to the point.

What makes it different from other, similar offerings?

It has much more information than most notary websites. We believe it is more helpful to our clients and allows folks to know a little more about us.

What is your eventual goal? (To sell it, keep it for income, secure a book or other mainstream media deal?)

We fully intend to keep the site up for many years. Perhaps another redesign might exist for the future.

How does your investment of time and money balance against your success?

Initially getting the site designed and showing up in search engines takes a lot of time and diligence. But it pays off with more visibility to our clients.

If you had an unlimited development budget for development, how would you change your site?

We would hire a search engine optimization company.

If your site got really big, really quickly, would you be able to keep up with the demand?

Definitely. We have several notaries locally working with us. In addition, we have a network of notaries from New Mexico through Alaska.

What unexpected costs and headaches have you had to deal with?

Many directories charge a high fee for inclusion. We have had to look carefully for appropriate directories that were free or minimal fee.

What has been your biggest challenge?

Finding the time to work on the website while also running our business. Also, learning how to use Dreamweaver.

What method has been most successful for promoting your website?

Breadth and depth of content.

How has running your website differed from your expectations?

Not really.

How long have you run the site already, and how long will you continue to keep it up if you don't enjoy big gains in traffic, income or popularity?

Indefinitely. The website draws more clients to our business. It is much more effective than the yellow pages.

What are your favorite things to do in your spare time?

Of course we are frequent clients of the half price ticket company that we list on our entertainment page. But we also enjoy travel, music, art, museums, and of course web design.

What is your website address?
