The website is all about starting your own business. It looks at difference types of structures by which a person or group of individuals can set-up and some of the important aspects which should be considered at the planning stage.
There is information on company formation, marketing and selling and finance which of course is all important for a business start-up. The various of aspects of setting up an online business and trading over the internet are also considered.
Give some details on the development of your website
The development of the site is still on-going and will probably never cease. In the initial stages, we had to consider the first steps of starting a small business which was largely the planning aspects.
After most of these areas were covered, we then sought to expand to the next stages of setting up a small business such as marketing, recruitment and financial analysis and so on.
What are the most rewarding aspects of the website?
The site itself took about four months to write, but as we said, these task are set to continue as long as we can find useful information for our visitors. Major events like the chancellor’s budget and important changes to self-employed tax law will of course prompt further additions to the website.
The most rewarding aspects of the site is that we have been able to translate an initial idea in to something that is real and functioning. The feedback we have received so far has been very positive and encouraging and that is always good to know that others appreciate what you have done.
In terms of the effort we put in, we would say that it was definitely worth the effort. As soon as you start to see the project take shape, that seems to spur you on and creates a snow-balling effect.
How did you decide on a name for your website?
Complete Business Start-up was chosen because we wanted a name that would aptly describe the site. The intention is certainly to have a complete source of business start-up information and the name of the site simply represents that goal.
What makes it different from other, similar offerings?
What makes our site different from others is that we wrote the site largely from from personal experiences of helping others to start-up their businesses. We did not pay too much attention to other related sites, and as a result, we were be able to write more freely and unrestricted and perhaps create something new instead of producing a rewrite of current material.
The Future of the Business and Website
Complete Business Start-up is not a commercial trading entity as such, in that it does not sell anything and purely exists as an information source. In the long term we see the website as expanding and continuing to provide useful resources on how to start a business.
Having said that, the site must remain current in terms of the information its provides and therefore will have to change in-line with both legal aspects and any new trends which become apparent in the manner in which people wish to set-up and operate their businesses. A prime example of this is the increasing number of people starting an internet business.
