Please give us a short summary of your website?
Our website offers many quick references and important forms for payroll and payroll taxes for small businesses. It also gives informations about the Automated Paycheck Services, the company for which I am the marketing manager.
What inspired you to launch your own website?
The company has operated solely on word of mouth for 14 years. They have now hired me on to perform marketing for them. This is their first ever marketing campaign and website. We are very excited about it.
When did you launch your first website, and what was it?
I launched my first website when I was in college at Azusa pacific University and it was for a snowboard apparel company.
How did you decide on a name for your website?
It is the name of the company.
What makes your website different from other, similar offerings?
We cater exclsively to small businesses and offer a personalized service that is unparalleled. Our payroll processors are all CPA's and take great care in getting to know each account intamately. We also provide great information, quick rferences, and forms for small business owners to access directly from our website.
What is your eventual goal? (To sell it, keep it for income, secure a book or other mainstream media deal?)
To illicit incoming calls and to expand the business via the internet.
How does your investment of time and money balance against your success?
The time put in must show results or else I will be forced to pursue another medium.
If you had an unlimited development budget for development, how would you change your site?
i dont know that i would. I like keeping it simple.

What unexpected costs and headaches have you had to deal with?
The network in the office going down.
What has been your biggest challenge?
I am handling all of the marketing for APS. It is hard to find time to continue to manage the website amongst my other responsibilities. The website could easily be a full time job in itself.

How has running your website differed from your expectations?
Much more time consuming.
How long have you run the site already, and how long will you continue to keep it up if you don't enjoy big gains in traffic, income or popularity?
It has not been up long but hoefully it will be up for many many years to come.
How do you benifit your target market?
No one likes doing payroll and payroll taxes. ON top of that, the IRS penalizes almost a third of all small businesses for their payroll tax filings. We take care of alot of headaches.
